Yoga, Meditation & Energy

Yoga, Meditation & Energy are ancient tools to restore balance to our whole selves.  These approaches bring a greater awareness and empowerment for you to connect with your true essence and find whole being alignment.  

Yoga â€‹has evolved over thousands of years with yoga philosophies, meditation techniques and asanas or postures. Yoga is a practice of benefiting every aspect of ourselves so that we can learn to be kind, truthful and use our energy in a beneficial way. Integration of yoga with counseling may include the following:

  • Movement ranging from gentle to vigorous

  • Breathing techniques

  • Meditation or visualization practices

  • Physical postures that address specific areas of discomfort or musculoskeletal imbalances

  • Discussion of the 8 limbs of yoga, such as the Yamas & Niyamas, Samadhi

 

Reiki is a powerful ancient healing energy that restores balance at a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.  Reiki has its roots in ancient practices.  In the 1920's  Mikao Usui rediscovered Reiki as a way of channeling healing.  He spent his life developing Reiki in Japan.
